dig: command not found

-bash: dig: command not found
-bash: nslookup: command not found

If you receive these errrors from your Linux System you are missing essential bind-utilities.

You can fix the error by running these commands.

For CentOS 6 and 7 or RHEL

yum install bind-utils 

For Newer CentOS 7, CentOS 8 or RHEL 7 and RHEL 8

dnf install bind-utils

For Ubuntu and Debian System

sudo apt install dnsutils
