Generally speaking, no. However, this usually depends on the nature of your website. If you are strictly a blogger or have a very text-based website, having 100,000 hits a day may not be a problem. However, if your site is very database driven and includes tons of media (sound, video, pictures, etc..) then 100,000 hits may be quite a problem. Remember that the term "shared hosting" (standard web hosting) means that your site will share a server with other users. So, if your site is very media heavy, you may wish to look into choosing a different type of account, such as cloud hosting.
